Have to say, I’m also not very impressed. Visually it looks great, but it almost feels like most of the story was given away during the trailer. All that CGi wont mean any thing if the storyline is crap, IMO.

That's understandable - 60% of what you'll see in the movie is CGI. And speaking of game tie-ins, Avatar: The Game will also drop at the same time as the movie. Eurogamer previewed it with 3D glasses and a 103" 3D television. Read their write-up.

Im a tad disappointed. All the hype and the result so far seems to be more of the style of an in-game cinematic, as a friend of mine aptly described it.

You and me both easy. I heard about it for the first time yesterday, but according to Google Trends, it's a popular search item. I'm sure it's be an entertaining flick. I was slightly green after watching Ice Age in 3D, so I'd best bring a barf bag to Avatar :sick:

i must’ve been living under a rock, never came across this movie… every time i see the word avatar i think of the 360 nxe.

As I said on the PS3 forum, I hope there’s more to it. Yes I would definitely get it on Blu-ray just because of Cameron, but the hype surrounding and 2 years in post production, I dunno.
