Incidentally, have you seen <a href="http://www.filmtheblanks.com/" rel="nofollow">Film The Blanks</a>? The site's not updated any more but it used to post these abstract, radically simplified movie posters with the titles and tag lines removed, and asked people to guess what the movie was. The one by <a href="http://www.impawards.com/1977/star_wars_ver3.html" rel="nofollow">The Brothers Hildebrandt</a> is equally awesome. The <a href="http://www.impawards.com/gallery.html" rel="nofollow">Internet Movie Poster Awards Gallery</a> has loads of posters ordered by year. It's well worth a visit. Agreed. The posters back in the eighties were works of art as they had to convey such an amount of info. I still remember "Jaws" poster.
