We Review: Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World

Yoshi’s Woolly World was a title we reviewed two years ago (Ed: That long??), and rated it one of the best games we’d ever played. Nintendo apparently agreed, because, given the limited install base of the Wii U, they’ve remade the game for Nintendo 3DS, while adding in a whole bunch of new content that the Wii U gamers don’t get. Let’s get our knitting needles out as we review Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World.

Fun Factoids

Did you know that giraffes can clean their ears with their tongues? Or that in the 1800s, opium was marketed as a way to pacify fussy babies? If you like that, then you may enjoy the other fun factoids cutely drawn by children’s book illustrator Mike Lowery.

Adorable Animals Eating Other Adorable Animals

Predation is so very cute if you show it in the way that Alexis Solis does. His series of colourful illustrations for Predator vs. Prey shows doe-eyed hunters sinking their teeth into the flesh of their prey. It’s a bloody cute circle of life.

First Kiss

As we’ve seen before kissing can be gross, and in some cases it can be detrimental to your health. Kissing can be awkward too, especially if it’s your first one and more so if you don’t even know the person that you’re about to do it to.

With FIRST KISS, the people over at the fashion label WREN studio asked a bunch of strangers (some of whom are models) to kiss each other and then filmed the intimate moments. Some are cute, others are cringe-worthy and over 20 million people have exhibited their voyeuristic tendencies, so check it out below.

Say Hello to Darcy, the Cutest Hedgehog in the World

While Ze Frank’s rather informative video made you rethink what you knew about hedgehogs, he neglected to mention that they are in fact the cutest things in the world. Case in point: Darcy the Flying Hedgehog.

Instagrammer/hedgehographer Shota Tsukamoto from Tokyo, Japan named his three-year-old hedgehog after D’arcy Wretzky, the former bass player of The Smashing Pumpkins. Despite the prickly origins of her name, Darcy’s most adorable nature is seen in the multitude of quirky scenes that Tsukamoto’s photographs her in. Have a look at some of our favourite photos of Darcy after the jump.

You’ll love this. Your favourite Game of Thrones characters are getting an adorable makeover. Each day, this single-serving site will reduce the characters of George R. R. Martin’s epic series of fantasy novels down to their single personality types, in the style of Roger Hargreaves’ “Mr. Men” and “Little Miss”.

Gregor Clegane forms an imposing shape as Mr. Brutal while Joffrey goes red in the face as Mr. Rageous. Littlefinger clearly agrees that his first name should in fact be Pimp. See them and a few more after the jump.
