We Review: Schrodinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark

No one should have any excuse for not knowing Erwin Schroedinger’s famous thought-experiment about the cat that was both alive and dead at the same time, as a metaphor for quantum states. For those of you who forgot, in short, there’s a cat in a sealed box with a vial of poison, a detector, and a radioactive isotope. If the isotope decays, the detector detects it, breaks the vial, poison is released and the cat dies. If it doesn’t decay, the cat is alive and well. Without opening the box, how do you know if the cat is alive or dead? You don’t…until you open the box and observe the cat, it is both dead and alive at the same time. Don’t worry, though. No real cats were harmed in this experiment. Does all this have much relevance to the review? Why yes. Yes it does. Read on to find out why.

We Review: Bloodborne

From Software are famous for their extremely hard games, and from Demon’s Souls to Dark Souls to Dark Souls II, you know you’re not going to have an easy time of this developer’s games. And like button-mashing masochists, everyone keeps going back for more punishment. Myself included. And this brutality is why we’re going to review Bloodborne, From Software’s first PS4 outing.

We Review: Destiny

Just about anyone who has an interest in Destiny will probably have already bought it, or read a review about it and made up their minds. So why read this one? I can’t actually provide a decent answer except perhaps this: this review is probably entertaining.

We Review: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

As you know, we here at Prawn Central LOVE us some LEGO games, so it’s with a lot of excitement that we got our grubby mitts on LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, the latest LEGO game from Travellers Tales. If you’ve played a LEGO game before, I doubt there’ll be much in this review that’s new to you, but I think you should read it anyhow, if only for the entertainment value. Excelsior!

PS4 vs. Barrett M82

Sony’s much anticipated PlayStation 4 sees its release in North America tomorrow but some users who have obtained early access to the systems through a Taco Bell contest have reported issues with their consoles. Of the 4000 Taco Bell winners, only 10 were reported defective. While they can claim on their warranty, we wager that Richard Ryan over at RatedRR won’t be able to do so, on the account of having executed a PS4 with an anti-tank rifle.

The tech assassin set his sights on the PS4 using a Barrett M82A1 .50 calibre rifle and recorded the destruction at 50,000 FPS. Do note that the video below contains scenes that some viewers may find disturbing.
